Zuni Native American Vintage Sterling Silver, Inlaid, Cuff Bracelet

This is a vintage inlaid bracelet artfully made by one of the masters that strived for perfection. The Zuni jewelry makers are known for their quality & perfection in making inlaid jewelry for many centuries. They use a lot of turquois, red coral, jet black, & oyster laid flush in silver.

There are three of those colors in this bracelet, plus the silver, all are used and cut with precision with the exception of oyster. They are coated with a clear resin.

I have chronic pain in my spine to the point of needing an operation so I haven't, nor will I in the future go anywhere where there is a lot of walking involved because it just gets worse as the years pass. The lady that gave them to me was 82years old when she passed four years ago & she had the bracelet for a long, long, time. She said when she was younger she used to frequent the reservations around the Albuquerque area many times, then she retired as a Professor at Ball State U. & still went to visit & donate to some of the Native American reservations. I would have loved to hear some of their conversations.
