Stunning handmade, Native American cuff of sterling silver & Ithaca Peak turquoise w/ black and silver pyrite matrix. Cuff: 2 3/4" wide x 2 1/4" deep. Stone: 1 3/8" x 1 1/4". This piece is signed by Zuni artist Ella Gia, granddaughter of John Gordon Leekity, one of the best-known Zunis of all time and the head of the Leekity silversmith dynasty. Ella became a well-known and much sought after native American artisan in her own right.

Most of her work is inlaid jewelry involving multiple stones. Ella signed her work by scratching her name into the back of her jewelry.

This was before the use of hallmark stamps became the norm.
