VERY few pieces come into our studio such as this one. 100% genuine David Freeland Jr, the world's premier Opal Jewelry designer. His work is a tremendous investment for it will continue to rise in value AND you have the satisfaction of actually showing it off (not off hiding in a bank lock box or something). An inch long, knuckle to knuckle, with a massive presence that exudes confidence like few rings we've seen. The pictorial is what appears to be a cross but the artistic part is that, when you wear it one way, the'ray of light' shines down on earth and if you wear it the other way, it appears wit the ray of light shining upwards towards heaven. The gemstones are flawless, pure and bright! The turquoise is the perfect shade... We think either Sleeping Beauty or Father Blue Sky.
The opals are AMAZING and classified as'white' but are so fire-filled, they could easily be classified as semi-black with deep sunset glowing hues in pink, gold, blue, green and lavender. Blue lapis and jet-black onyx make everything'POP' like crazy.... You can almost hear the fire sizzling as the opals are extremely responsive and will perform like a champ in any light, from sunlight to low room light where you'll witness these opals literally glowing like embers in a fire.
The band is in itself a work of art starting at the matching width of the table (an inch long) and tapering down in the back to a thick 7mm so that you have full use of your hand. An artistic piece with thoughtful and an intelligent design. Heavy too at a whopping 18.8 grams. Famous signature under the band and will arrive gift boxed along with care instructions...
