Exquisite Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver Blue Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace

This listing features a vintage Navajo hand made sterling silver turquoise squash blossom necklace. Please note: the stones used in this piece are REAL and NATURAL TURQUOISE!! There may be some stabilization to these stones but I want to be clear that they are real and NOT manmade. This piece was made by the renowned Artist Victor Moses Begay and dates back to the Native American jewelry boom of the late 60s through the early 80s. Each and every stone is in mint condition and still portrays an abundance of bold blue/green color.... A rare find in older turquoise pieces. The hand made bench beads, triple fluted blossoms, and large Naja are all in pristine vintage condition.

The Naja is very large and ornate. It consists of 92 hand cut and polished stones. They are situated symmetrically over a thick bed of silver. The Artist also applied classic twisted ropes and silver raindrops to accompany each outer edge stone.

The 12 squash blossoms are just as beautiful and coincide perfectly with the Naja. Each blossom contains 19 stones of which 10 are snake eye cut, 5 are tear drop cut, and 4 are oval cut. These blossoms are very large and unique compared to most. The 4 oval cut stones are situated in a straight line at the center of the blossom and surrounded by twisted rope. Silver raindrops surround the outer edge of each blossom and rest between the remaining 15 stones.

The hand-made bench beads are in great condition with no dents and are strung on a thick silver wire. The classic hook and eye clasp are also of higher quality and makes for comfortable wearability.

This item has not been cleaned or polished and has been left in its original state. It is in good vintage condition.

Condition - Preowned, in excellent vintage condition, with all original stones and patina, ready for daily wear or display. I treat every item as if it were my own.
