Vintage Al Joe Navajo Native American Sterling Silver Squash Blossom Necklace
On offer is an authentic, beautiful vintage Navajo hand wrought Sterling Silver SQUASH BLOSSOM NECKLACE adorned with a MEDICINE EYE DAZZLER NAJA, NAVAJO PEARLS and POMEGRANATES that we believe was created circa 1980. This expertly crafted Navajo SQUASH BLOSSOM necklace was created by the renowned, award winning Silver Master, ALFRED "AL" JOE.
It is hallmarked with a stylized logo of the initials AJ within a Horseshoe, and also STERLING. It tested positive for Sterling Silver. Since the 1970s AL JOE'S award winning silver work has been included in numerous important exhibitions, galleries, collections, and publications. This outstanding Squash Blossom necklace was executed with attention to detail and is in very good vintage condition (see photos for an accurate detailed depiction).
It is securely strung on foxtail chain and has a handmade hook and eye clasp that is in good working order. The NAVAJO PEARLS, NAJA and POMEGRANATE beads are all. In very good condition with no dents or dings. Overall, the necklace measures approx.
18" long x 2 1/4" at widest. The Navajo Pearls measure approx 1/2" diameter; the pomegranates are approx 1" long; the Medicine Eye Dazzler Naja is approx 2" long x 1 7/8" wide.
